Team Development
Established in 2002, CAREFIRST COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) community based organization designed to meet the behavioral health needs of residents residing in the City Of Detroit and greater metropolitan areas. CareFirst CHS is a product of re-organization and downsizing of a larger comprehensive agency known as Renaissance West Community Health Services.
Is to provide quality, comprehensive, integrated behavioral healthcare services in substance abuse and mental health to culturally diverse individuals and families in Detroit and surrounding areas.
To be a local and national premier service agency that provides an array of comprehensive and quality integrated behavioral healthcare services.
The agency receives funding from the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority (DWMHA), Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) and U.S. Probation Department, Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Our customers are men and women who are chemically dependent, co-occuring diagnosed, and HIV/AIDS infected, homeless, individuals recently released from prison and also children for Prevention services. We have over 15 years working with this population and our facility has become a place where consumers feel safe, secure and supported.
